I am posting this for my friend Ross, how much would you appraise the domain name aethrae.net? It is from the greek word aethra meaning Clear Night or Clear Minded. So let me know! Thanks!!!!

Tough spell, and .NET ... $0.00 - Reg. fee, IMHO.
Best of Luck to you and your friend, Ross. :)

It's a word from ancient Greek, and to be honest with you its use is zero in modern Greek.

The proper Greek spelling is AITHRA - with the TH substituting the Greek letter "theta". It's a female name, as you can see at http://www.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aethra

The problem with your variation is that by adding the "e" at the end the name doesn't have any meaning, albeit it's a grammatical attempt to pluralize the word. In addition, there is already a company using the name Aethra.com and it's a very close match to their trademark.
