Hi, I need advice on how to approach marketing for kosovo.com. As a geo domain of a politically hot geographical area (a country for some, territory for others), it has more value as a political asset, rather than a business development platform (not excluded, though). I mean, parties involved in the conflict would likely use a web site parked on this domain to showcase their standpoints, rather than to earn money. All due respect to the audience here (developers, resellers), I don't think that my target segment will be found on the web sites that specialise in domain re-sale. Let me know what your suggestion would be on where to market this domain, in particular if you have done something similar before.
Regards,

Thanks, Fred was quick to reply. His advice is priceless. However, I think Fred, like many here, target segments that are different than the segment this domain should target with its marketing. I mean, rather than using standard channels that target resellers and people with products (most English language/culture based), kosovo domain marketing needs access to the patriotic locals and emerging local enterpreneurs.
I base that on my assessment of Kosovo's unique situation: 1) It is not recognised as a country by half of the world (both sides need global "propaganda" space), 2) its businesses are small and need visibillity (ability to improve export), 3) despite area being small, there is still no country market (like Craigs List or TradeMe) and of course 4) tourism is invisible on the world tourism market, despite few attractions that can be offered.
Any other views are welcome.
