Hi

New to the forum and I have two domains up for sale that I have been
approached about

www.EmploymentAdverts.com

www.RecruitmentAdverts.com

Both are listed for sale at sedo ... But the offers have approached me direct by passing sedo.

It appears to be a 3rd party introduction and not a direct one just wondered as I am new to this if anyone had any thoughts on a potential value.

Many Thanks

I don't think you will get much for them, maybe low-mid $xxx if you've found an end user. Watch out for the scam though, if your buyer asks you for a paid appraisal then its probably too good to be true. Don't pay for an appraisal, if they are interested, tell them they should appraise it and you will refund from the purchase. Sorry, may have gone way off subject here, just seen it mentioned so many times and got approached myself. I don't think the names are quite strong enough for someone to look you up through whois unless you've got a lot of traffic. I could easily be wrong though, and when you get a potential customer, everyone has a different way to do business. If the customer you have is a genuine end user, test the ropes, but try and get them to put in an offer first.

Hi Scooby,

First of all I was suprised to see these were newly registered domains.

When you see the crap that gets registered every day it is suprising that no one picked therm up before you.

The Bad News - Both Employment Adverts and Recruitment Adverts have no overture results.

This was very suprising to me.

Yet Employment Ads scores 1937 and Recruitment Ads scores 94. I guess this proves who lazy we are at typing in words these days.

The Good News is that EmploymentAdverts and RecruitmentAdverts were both previously registered and have history at http://web.archive.org/web/*/http://recruitmentadverts.com http://web.archive.org/web/*/http://employmentadverts.com

I think with some effort you could get high $xxx each because thgere are plenty of websites in this field using worst domain names.

Good Luck

Thanks

For the heads up warning ! It turns out it was a scam after all.

I appreciated the advice given and it has opened my eyes a little to the fact that all may be not what it appears with these " interested parties".

So the flag was timely waved indeed. Thanks again.

I sure wont be falling for that one...
