AdSense Placement - Would this be pushing it?

If I were to place Google Adsense on my forum like this:

would that be against the TOS?

Dont think so; It is "Obscured by elements on a page." It would be misleading your visitors thinking they aren't ads and mistaken for a category. ( Good positioning though )

Well I don't think its safe. Recently I think AdSense change their TOS about blending ads. They don't like too much blending anymore.

Yes, adsense have made some recent changes to their TOS. Blending the ads is no more ok.

I think that the best thing to do is to contact Adsense support if you have any doubts about your ad placements. That is to be on the safe side.

Its a great spot you chose but I wouldn't recommend using adsense there because of there TOS.
