I have my google ads down either side on a new site I am doing and wondering if it was too much?

http://www.davidbeckham.ws/blogtest/

Where would you place them? Just on one side?

Also I need bit of help with the design

I want a line going down either side seperating the side menus and the centre content, so for example a line going down the left hand side just after the links to seperate it from the centre content and same on right hand side, before those links, anyone know how?

Thnx

I would place on the one side, but the colours you have choosen make them unobtrusive anyway.

I always got told to match the ads to the background so they blend in.

Also how hard will it be to change the design slightly so it takes up the whole page?

For example the header taking up the whole width and then the left links on the furthest left and same for the right links to the furthest right?

EDIT -

Ok, I think I done it, does it look ok @ http://www.davidbeckham.ws/blog123/ ?

800x600 has to scroll to the right and anything over 1024x768 has the banner off to one side. If you don't mind making people scroll, you should at least center the banner. I think the original one looks better.

It may just be firefox, but your ads are black, not matched against the background.

The centered text of the post is hard to read, and the title bar not being centered doesnt seem to fit well... I'm at 1024x768
