Ads display in Google Reader but no other RSS reader. And shouldn't these ads display in mail clients with RSS readers like Thunderbird or Opera? I must be doing something wrong, anybody know what?

Makes sense what you're saying, like the Adsense docs, but I just got the impression the proxy URL Google gave me was all I needed since I hadn't previously been using Feedburner.
actually feedburner has been acquired by google as well, so it should work.
the good thing about "burning" your .xml feed on feedburner, is that you have finer .xml feed controls and also a feedburner tool called feedmedic which optimizes your .xml feed and troubleshoot your feed if some parts are not showing.

I sent email to adsense support as per instruction asking them to migrate my subscribers from feedburner but I am not receiving response yet.. I have around 5K rss subscribers..
i think they're pretty busy with the acquirement and migration of feedburners readers as well to their igoogle reader, i hope they won't kill feedburner as it's useful for me when it comes to chicklets.
Makes a lot of ad sense Sounds like Feedburner remains the major component until wrinkles are ironed out on Google's side. Instead of the proxy URL, perhaps it would be less confusing for Adsense to just send us to Feedburner's sign up page.
