Hi,

Now this is a very basic question so please bare with my lack of knowledge.
But for the above programmes they all ask you to list the URL (domain) you will use the ads and links for. what i was wondering is do you have to do this for each site (as i have a few) - or do you just get one code and then paste it into your site and the technology they use will match the ads to the site content?
I have looked on the site but it doesn't mention what you do for multiple domains. I'm guessing that you only need to register once.

Thanks for any help or advice.

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.

You get one code to start out, You add "channels" each channel is a new name you add, This helps you see what names are producing revenue, and which names are not.

yup. you would usually use the "best" site you have to make sure you get accepted into the program. once you get into whichever program, you can then add your other sites, although some might still need to be checked to make sure they're good enough for the network.

For Commission Junction, though you can sign up with just one site, you eventually have to list all the sites on which you are serving ads and your ad code is built with unique code for each individual site. If you get clicks on an ad that contains the code for a different site, they get counted as "invalid clicks".

Other programs, like Amazon, you can use the same code across a number of sites.

You can do this in Adsense too, though you can choose to have channels set up for tracking purposes. Read the program policies before putting adsense on your site and if you're not sure if your site's content is OK for the program, drop them and e-mail and ask first.

Thats not quite right, I have been an affiliate through Commission Junction for a few years and only ever listed the initial site I joined with.
Since then I have placed my CJ affiliate links on about 100 other sites and have never had a problem, the only invalid clicks I see are from expired promotions.

For Adsence and YPN you just get your own code then paste it into your sites and the technology they use will match the ads to the sites content.
