I emailed google reps today and asked if someone could place google adsense code on places such as ebay auctions, classified listings, forum threads, or any other site like that....after all, it would be AWESOME to pay for an ebay listing by placing adsense code in the auction....

I got this reply

Thanks for your email. Please know that you may place Google ads on any
site which you may own or manage. If a website is in compliance with our
program policies ( http://www.google.com/adsense/policies ) and the
company or owner has given you permission to display ads on their site,
you may place your ad code these pages.

As you may already know, you're welcome to place Google ads or an AdSense
for search box on any website that complies with our program policies
(http://www.google.com/adsense/policies). There's no need for us to review
the site beforehand - simply copy and paste the ad code or search code
onto your website, and we'll automatically detect and serve ads to the new
site. For specific instructions on implementing the Google code, please
visit https://www.google.com/adsense/quickstart.

Please note that we monitor all sites displaying Google ads or an AdSense
for search box to ensure compliance with our program policies. Any site
that is in violation of our policies will be contacted and asked to remove
the Google code.

so is that a green light or what?

If I recall correctly... no, you can't put Google ads on your Ebay auctions. Doing so would drive traffic/customers away from Ebay.

Even if Google allows you to, I highly doubt eBay will...

Exactly right. Google would be very happy to have their ads on Ebay! Ebay on the other hand would loose business if people could click away (from Ebay) to find their widgets! D-:

Best I remember .... Ebay and Google don't get along anyway ;)

What's the point? I doubt you would even make back your listing fee.

HI

I think it is a good idea.... and I have thought about it myself but I do not see google or ebay allowing it... and I would not recommend risking your adsence account to find out LOL

Thanks
