Hi gang

My feeling is that this is a mid $xx domain name but since registering it, every opinion has been that the "add" part stands for "Attention Deficit Disorder" and is not short for the word advertisements. What are your thoughts?

I had planned to develop this name into a classified adds (or is that ads?) site.

Thats right, its not the same "new" as "news", in this case "add" or "adds" is not the same as "ads" (short for advertisement) the good thing is that there seems to be a lot of meanings for the ancronym "add" you could develop a site related to one of its meanings.

I would say right now undeveloped its worth mid xx.

Regards.

I'm a writer and I have to say: Agreed. Ad is short for advertisemnt. Add is short for, well, a lot of things.

Let's be more realistic on the value. Foxes are known as fast animals and the word 'add' can mean 'addition.' Combine the two and you have a term that says something along the lines of "add something fast." This is very nice -- it can refer to many things. And 'Add Fox" is short and brandable -- easy to remember.

Early $xxx undeveloped.

Thanx shopperx and Archangel

You are solidifying my thinking, I feel that this name, being 6 letters and two memorable words, gives it some appeal. I'm going to have to rethink its development however.

Another idea -

It could be marketed towards someone who wants to make Adsense commissons from it by listing the benefits of using Firefox and including those FF speciality banners on their site.

I do like it, it leapt out of the page at me. Brandable as Arch said.

You may find someone to pay $$ -$$$ but my experience tells me this is a reg fee to less than $25 name.

Thanx HimAndIt and ownthisdomainnow

I agree with both of you to a certain extent. This name did leap off of the page at me when I purchased it but I do not think it is a $xxx domain name. Nor do I think it is merely a reg. fee domain name but low $xx, or a slight premium above reg. fee? . . that may be, we never know for sure until someone clicks on the buy button.

I'm still stuck on this one

After searching the possible acronyms for ADD ....nothing jumps out at me though there are many to choose from. Any ideas would be appreciated.

What I would do with this domain is try and get a good SEO in download firefox or some sort of firefox keywords. Then I'd reap the benefits that way.

If you try and sell on the open market namely somewhere like here people won't get the domain and will probably offer only up to 5 dollars. Personally I appraise up to 20 dollars but not any more.

Thanx theparamount

I am actually going to investigate that. "Addfox" could well mean "Add ons for Firefox"

That's a good idea.
