With as many templates and tutorials as there are going around, this might not be too feasible, but I think it might work.

Allow members to "sell" templates and tutorials to the NamePros store (for NP$) where they would stay forever. Then, allow members to come along, read the descriptions of a tutorial, or view a template, and then download it for a certain amount of NP$.

I think it's worth considering. RJ could ask some of the staff - or get new staff just for the purpose - to look over the templates/tutorials, and make sure they were quality stuff before making a payout to an NamePro member, or before accepting it to be part of the store.

What do you guys think?

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.

I really don't see whats wrong with the sections of Namepros that does that.

I believe that the store would get way to cluttered with all the templates and tutorials people are trying to sell.

I do like the idea, and it could be expanded to include any number of digital goods including eBooks, templates, scripts and databases -- in effect making a NP$ mall offering members goods.

Thanks for brining it up, Rudy.

yea, that is a very nice idea, but how about, instead of selling it to Namepros, get a certain amount of NP per download? That way, you would only get NP from quality, not quantity.

Pretty spiffy Idea, could be expanded to agreat number of things as RJ said. Would be a cool feature.

How about this small spin on Rudy's idea: NPer creates template, then submits it to NP. NP reviews template and accepts/rejects it. Those accepted are offered in a store for a certain NP$ amount. Once a template is purchased, the original designer and NamePros split the NP$ amount. It's a win-win situation for both. The formula could likely work for other products as well.

I think this is a great idea. It could eliminate a lot of posting in the NP $ Sales forum and create a much more streamlined, easy to use system. Perhaps even offer the option to pay more for reseller rights or unique rights to the item. You could also add PayPal integration so a user could pay with PayPal, and have the money converted to NP $.

yes, in addition things would be around for a lot longer, easier transactions (instant)

Also you know how many are being sold, and can probably limit the sales of each item
