AdBrite any good?

Hello...

I see NamePros uses AdBrite. I was thinking of using it to sell ad space at VirtualDN and maybe some other sites (I can use my account there, if I make one, for more than one site, right?)

Suppose I want to put an ad or two in rotation myself - can i do that without paying any money?

umm with adbrite, you need some steady traffic, cuz people have to buy it and people might not want to buy ad space if there sitn a steady flow of traffic, and yes i think you can place banners on there yourself

Place your own ads on your own site through Adbrite? No. Unsold space can show the default Adbrite ads, but if you know PHP though you can just rotate your own ads into the mix if you need to. I use Adbrite on NamePros for 25% of the banner impressions on NamePros.

Ah okay. So I can use PHP to choose randomly whether an Adbrite ad is displayed, and if not, then display my own ad? Is that okay with Adbrite?

According to there help & support page

They allow this. The only thing I have heard of is Google Adsense closing down your account because you have Adbright content on your site as well.

You can't use Google Adsense on the same page as another contextual ad program, or any ads that look similar to Adsense. You can rotate them, as long as they don't display at the same time.
