I’ve recently put up two domains to sell on dynadot, periodically checking them.

Hit counter data provided by dynadot shows a few hundred over the past few days.

Is this a good sign for a potential sale or is this the domaining version of window shopping?

https://ahrefs.com/backlink-checker

See if some "high quality" backlink services have automatically added your domains to their stupid lists.
Domain 1:

Rating 5:

Backlinks
93
54% dofollow

Linking websites
55
73% dofollow

Domain 2:

Rating: 0

Backlinks: 4

Linking websites: 4

To be completely honest; I have no clue what these statistics mean or how they relate to the domains

Any recent dates in the left column?

I'm guessing you're getting low-quality/non-buyer traffic from somewhere. In addition to bot traffic of course.

There are no dates - only DR, Refferring page & Anchor and target URL

Domain 1: Links seem to be related to the domain name in some capacity
Domain 2: Has 4 links, 3 of which are associated with SEO boosting

Visits don't mean anything until you get an offer and then sometimes they mean jack !

Surely it’s a gauge of interest of potential buyers who might be interested?

If they didn’t care they wouldn’t even click on it right?

If the possible buyers are seeing these DynaDot stats too it can't hurt. Same with the Sedo sales pages as those kinda push the urgency of this many people have already viewed this offer page better hurry up which is even better as instills fear of missing out/urgency.

could also be bots. some companies, especially seo companies send fake traffic with their information referral, so they are visible in the analytics platforms.
