Hey,
I'm not entirely sure if this is allowed here but if possible i'd like a website appraised rather than the domain name, as I know the domain is nothing special. Basically I am weighing up the pros and cons of selling/keeping this website - and would like to know what kind of price I could expect to attract for it. Thanks in advance for any appraisals given
Brief
Acid Cheats.com is a computer and video game cheats website. The content (cheats) is pulled from the econtents.biz subscription service - the same content is currently used by a few other websites - basically when econtents update, all websites subscribed to their service updates, too. EContents subscription is $24.99 per month - or there is an annual option, not sure how much that is.
The website is PR5, with PR2/3 for sub-pages. The site currently receives approximately 2,200 unique visitors per day and has done for about 4 weeks now (since the cheats got indexed by gamezone.com). Traffic could easily be increased if indexed by similar cheat search sites (cheatserver.com, code-crawler.com, cheatcodesclub.com, ezgameseek.com etc). At the moment, around 90% of traffic comes from gamezone.com.
At the time of writing the site earns around $240 per month, about $100 from adsense and the rest from active-x ads that are currently only displayed weekends (provided by zangocash.com). Obviously active-x ads would generate more if they were displayed constantly, but many people don't like displaying them on their sites. This info is based on this month only, as traffic has only recently jumped up, highly likely revenue will increase next month and in future.
A new arcade section has been added recently, games earn upto 40 cents per install (powered by zangocash.com), it's too early to judge performance. Also a pixel advertising section was added recently with pixels costing 20 cents per block at the moment, easily changed of course but currently the vacant blocks total value is $986. The grid can be enlarged, too.
Almost 25 other gaming platforms can be added to the site instantly by updating the platform filter in the site's econtents.biz account.
Domain name is registered at GoDaddy and expires on January 28th 2007.
