Absolutely FREE self updating Movie site script!

Yeah, you heard me... I'm coding a FREE movie system. I am hosting video's across MULTIPLE servers on my new project which is still in the testing stages: http://www.fastfreemedia.com/ We have the MAJORITY of the bugs worked out with our feed, servers and various other routines but we need some people to start using it and giving us feedback.

Here's what you do, download http://www.fastfreemedia.com/free.zip and install it on your server. WE host the videos and supply you with a feed of movies that is updated MANY times a day.

If you can get a site reasonably large then we will GIVE you a free license to the FULL version of GameScript COMPLETE with 1yr of support! GameScript is designed to handle high traffic media sites better than the competition is.

whats the catch? Do you put your ads on our site?

you get 100% of the ad space on the site and can edit the templates however you want and do whatever with the ad space.

The catch:

I have an ad that I'll be changing from time to time on the bottom right of the video's. That logo is click able. As the reach grows the value of that spot will grow and I can make more from it by selling weekly spots. That's all there is to it! Like I said, if you get big enough I'll even GIVE you a license to GameScript. Maybe PHPAS if you prefer that. The catch on THAT part of things will be that you keep using my feed!

This isn't exactly something that will be a huge money maker short term but my target for this is simply breaking even for the first 6-12mnths while building a very large "reach".

I have all of my bills paid for the next 18mnths so I'm going for a long term project with this one. traffic should grow on a linear scale and hopefully in 2-3yrs I can have a monster on my hands

question: will there be an update install if there are any fixes after I install? Or do I have to completely reinstall everything, and modify everything again?

LOL edit the templates however you want, just leave the footer text someplace at the bottom

I will be working on an update to the script maybe this weekend. Just remember its V.5 If there are any DB changes I'll release them and I'll even keep track of template changes as much as I can.

Current bugs:
1) "random" movies code isn't quite right I'll clean it up for the next update
2) More efficient caching maybe?
3) Game names available in URL's

Thats about all that I can think of but I have no ETA. I'm going to TRY to work on it some more this weekend but that'll depend on how quickly I can get some of the other things done that I need to do.

We only use shell to update the sites. Some reason it's not FWDing to index.php, will look at that.

Why would it not be .mobi compliant? I don't think it would make a difference.

cursal - We are working on a paid version of the feed. However, this will be in 2 different plans, and require monthly. More will be on this on our forums shortly.

The current version is based on the GS Free version is is done with authorization from the owner of GS. Soon there will be a completely independent version. Even the current posted version barely has anything left of GS on it.

If anybody wants to be included in the beta of the NEW system which will have more features than MOST of the PAID scripts out there post a message here: http://www.fastfreemedia.com/forums/showthread.php?t=49 and I'll upgrade you to the internal beta crew.

This first beta will be for CLEAN installs only (not previous installs of our free script) We will write an upgrade script after the beta is ready and we can determine the DB changes a bit better.
