Above.com Parking Manager

One of the tools I found missing in the domain space was a solid solution to manage domains across multiple parking companies. The features we wanted were:

- Ability to rotate traffic to test new services
- Consolidate reports from all parking services into a single easy to read report.
- Analyze performance to identify the best parking service for each domain
- Provide normalized stats to enable comparison of actual RPM values.
- Provide real time traffic stats.

All of that and more is now available at Above.com
There is currently no cost to use the service so feel free to try it out.

Above.com is an Australian company (Trellian) owned by well respected businessmen in the domaining community. We've also got incredibly strict laws on misuse of information and privacy and data security.

Above.com is an interesting prospect, do they utilise the site optimising options of Parked etc. so that your domain can get indexed or are they just added as defaults?

Hi dax44,

This only happens when the domains have not been added to your Above account, but you have already changed the DNS on that domain to the Above DNS.

As Above.com is receiving traffic from domains and it does not know who these domains belong to, the traffic is redirected to a generic domain until you add the domain to your Above account.

The trojan is not associated with Above.com.

well I think now I get it: maybe some traffic wasn't redirect to my parking account but to WSEARCH.NET, and now they want to give me the revenue of WSEARCH.NET.

Anyway I got some cents in my referral billing details, and 90% that is why they asked my paypal.


I have no idea about how domains are indexed at parked.com, but i suppose they use default settings.

Anyone got any views about the services of Above.com?

Their whois is private. Who is behind Above.com?

Is it safe to give them the username and password for all your parking accounts? What do they do with that information? OK, they get the revenue. But what else? Do they add the domains or do we have to add them to each company? Do they add the keywords, or do we have to do that at each company?

How do they make their money?

Their concept seems good. But does it really work?

Why is above.com account closed on this forum?
Whats going on? I just opened an account with them, is something wrong? I haven't moved any domains over to them yet and I sure wont if there is a problem.

You'd need to ask the Mods (if they'd tell you). Personally, I also find it a bit strange that a subsidiary of Trellian would get banned after only 5 posts. You would have thought they could have worked things out. Maybe they were imposters of Above.com

An account at above.com only gives you access to forward your domains to several parking companies to find the best revenue. There isn't any risk involved.

I have tested out this service for a while ..

I think the way to use this service is short term.rotate your domains around see who is best and then move NS for THAT domain to THAT parking service.Your domains are going to be punished for being "homeless" as well as above serving slow loading redirects to their in house pop up ads .I have not seen any revenue increase overall from using this service.It just speeds up the testing process and that is a valuable service !.But if you weigh the fact that your sites get deindexed its not a good place to just leave your domains long term if you care about that.I also would not put a newly regged domain into this and expect it to get indexed..None of this is a slam of this service...there isn't any way around these side effects if you are going to move a domain to 6 different pages by the minute.
