About Reporting Threads (A ?)

This is just an issue I'd like to raise.

I used to use the Report Thread button for reporting posts which are out of place. I realized today that it's only for SPAM, rude remarks, and so forth. However, I can count at least 4-5 threads right now that are out of place and would get more "airtime" in the correct forum.

So, my question is would it be possible to use the Report Thread link to point out a thread for the mods so that they can move it? I realize that they have a full plate on their hands and I think we all should help everyone out.

I think it is alright to use the "Report" Button for those type things as well - It brings threads to the attention of Staff and Forum Leaders that they might miss during normal browsing.

Ya, I agree with Mark. I have used it in the past for this, and the Staff and Forum Leaders thanked me.

I generally recieve lots of PMs regarding moving threads, if possible, if you see a staff member online, PM them, instead of reporting.

Makes life a lot easier sorting out the really problematic situations

I'm so shy I don't dare PM staff or leader member So I prefer use the report thread feature, but sometimes I doubt to have to do...

Yes, please continue to report posts that are in the wrong forum. The worst is when people reply to the poster saying 'You posted this in the wrong forum.' (spam)

I too would rather use the report button. It's a lot more annoying and time consuming to type out a PM than it is to hit the report button and drop a quick note.

I agree with you, it's much faster and more convenient to use the report button rather than PM'ing the Mods/Admins and annoying them. They can always check in the reported threads section and deal with it when they have the time.
