I have read somewhere a few weeks ago that when you buy a domainname from someone and you pay him for it and he pushes the name to you he has a certain time to take the name back.

Is that correct and if so how long does the seller have to request the name back?

How are you protected against this kind of stuff?

My question is related to godaddy.

If you purchase a name from someone else on the TDNAM system, they are supposed to be bound to the transaction and must transfer the name to you, so long as you pay on time. If they try to take it back you can contact Godaddy, and if you have proof of payment it shouldn't be a problem. If you purchase an expired name on TDNAM, the previous owner still has about a week to reclaim the name. If this happens you get a full refund. You are not at risk of losing money from buying on TDNAM, at most you are at risking of wasting money :hehe:

the [email protected] always don't work btw, it's for 15 days, but even if you submit every possible id they require still they won't return to you the domain you've pushed.
