Phrase gets 18,000 Exact Avg. Adword search volume

Google Traffic Estimation: 9 - 11 clicks a day

5,490,000 Google returns.

Presenting this to some battery big boys; Energizer, etc.

High $XXX - $1500 ?

Thanks for any thoughts.

Does anyone have a feel for AABatteries.net ?

I'm about to promote it for sale.

Thank you.

You are asking for an end-user price which may be why some are reluctant.

I'm going to say low $xx reseller. End users price is difficult to determine on this domain. The sky is the limit for a skilled seller. IMO.

Thanks for your time, MicroGuy.

What do you (or anyone else interested) think of the following reasoning:

I've looked at other generic product .nets (on NameBio) that have sold in the last few months, which have similar adword search and traffic numbers to AA Batterries, such as:

PopcornMaker.net $1,105

WholesaleCoffee.net $1,000

..and I've decided on a figure of $750 for AABatteries.net to offer the major battery companies. I could perhaps go higher but am looking for a fast sale.

I realize this is an rough estimate, but am not sure how else to gauge the price for this .net domain.

If anyone thinks this sounds unrealistic, please let me know.

Edit: I just acquired AABattery.net and will offer this with AABatteries.net as a packaged deal - at more than $750 - yet to be determined.

I think your price and reasoning are sound. Good luck with your sales calls.

Thanks again, MG.

Anyone else care to offer your thoughts on a package price for AABatteries.net and AABattery.net?

The big guys like who you mention: Eveready, Duracell would have zero intrest in a .net in my opinion

OK Johname, thanks for that. Do you arrive at that opinion based on prior experience in this area?

I ask because I don't understand why it would not behoove a battery "powerhouse" to own the generic keyword .net (plural and singular) of one of their major products. But I could certainly be wrong.

However, if they have zero interest, I will move onto the resellers.

The battery powerhouses wouldnt stoop to the dot net level in my opinion, best to sell it to a small battery reseller guy.

read something the other day saying that batteries are "next" on the popular media environmental agenda. Some take 5 or 6 times the amount of energy to produce than they actually provide to a device.

?caution long term?

I hear you, skahy, thanks. However, there are new, greener battery technologies being developed, and the "AA" standard is likely to continue, considering the billions of current products that use it.

Now, if I owned "AlkalineBatteries.net" I might be more concerned :)

I think an end user would paying this money for this domain. A reseller would pay mid xx$ to high xx$ IMHO.

All the Best.
