A Burger King in Xenia, Ohio is in hot water with the Greene County Health Department after a Burger King employee took a bubble bath in the restaurant’s sink and posted the video on his MySpace.

Call me old fashioned but this brings the “Waiter, there’s a hair in my soup!” joke to a whole new level!

Perhaps they should use this as a marketing thing to show how clean their employees are.

They don't just wash there hands, they take a bath at work. Surely they should be praised for there hygene

Luckily I never eat in burger king anyway, but I imagine there are many dodgy practices that go on in restaurants.

So, Burger King counts as a 'restaurant' now?

I guess it depends on your definition of restaurant. It has tables/chairs, they serve food (in a manner). In the UK very few people would refer to it as a restaurant.

I saw this video the other day and just laughed.

Sad for the manager though.

Enough

Burger King said that they sanitized the sink. The didn't even have enough sense to replace the sink instead. I would have.

I cannot begin to tell you the number of times I have walked out of Burger King after watching how the workers handle the food with their bare hands. McDonalds does this too. You'd think that they'd follow the lead of Wendys and Subway and wear gloves too.

Has anybody else here ever gotten disgusted watching how their workers handle food? A rub of the nose, a brush of the hair, an adjustment of their pants, sweaty palms on a hot day touching the hamburger buns, or a dip in the pickle juice with two or three fingers. Hey babe, I don't mind you touching my hamburger bun with your sweaty palms if you don't mind me touching your mouth with my sweaty fingers.

I had someone accuse me of being a racist once because I had asked the worker to either wash his hands after changing the garbage pail or wear a pair of gloves before handling my food. I replied that the only culture I discriminate against is the germ culture.

And I don't like them talking while they prepare my food either. "Stop talking. You're spraying my food."

Your title post reminds me of how, in the Philippines at least, Burger King is nice[er]. They almost always have free wireless internet, and it is OK to just go and sit there for hours on end. In the afternoons, some of them even have free movies playing on the TV screen mounted in the ceiling.

(I just got back from a 3-month trip to the Philippines)

I heard about this the other day..

Not sure what to think personally.. Wouldn't the washing up liquid remove the germs anyway? Or atleast the germs caused by someone being in the sink. And surely the stuff washed up in the sink is going to have germs on it anyway?

I don't think they should bath in the sink, but I think it's a bit of an overkill on the response.

If NASA engineers and top medical professionals from the CDC scoured and sanitized your toilet down to the atom, would you make soup in it and serve it up on the dinner table? BK uses that sink to prepare food for their customers. They should replace the sink.

No - because I'd need a new toilet then. If I had multiple ones, why not?

Ah! I thought they used it for cleaning up.

If they prepare food in there, and serve it to customers, then that's completely different!

Why would replacing the sink be any better?
You would still need to sanitize the new sink anyway for all the biological residue from manufacturing, shipping and installing it.

I wonder if Bathing beauty was awarded "Cleanest Employee of the Month"
