In Canada, we tend to use a lot of "double Ls" too.

In Swedish fรคrg or fรคrger for plural.

There is little doubt Britian had lots of overseas influence; however, it is not a big shocker people in the UK, India, Australia, Canada, and New Zealand spell it "colour." After all that is where British influence has been greatest. It would be interesting to ask people who live in the Carribean, Phillipeanes, and Guam how they spell color. My chips would be riding on "color." Of course, these were/are the places the US has/had the most influence.

im from the states, but iv lived in canada most of my life. i was taught to spell it colour here in canada, but over the years and from living in the states allot i spell it color. :/

Im not sure if dark blue means it is bad but the rest of my rep points are bright green, so it looked kinda out of place.
