Hello All,

I am new, so I hope I'm not breaking any rules or posting into the wrong forum.

Background: I am a struggling independent filmmaker and I started a struggling movie business in the U.S. I came up with a name, (let's call it ReallyGoodFilms.com for this discussion,) and bought the domain name in 2005 or so. I also own the twitter, facebook, pinterest accounts with the same name.

A couple of years ago (2012, I think,) a very famous actress started a film company with the same name. She is one of the most popular and highly paid actresses in India. She has expressed no apparent interest in my domain name, but I am getting a dozen emails a week from Indians looking to work with that actress or break into the film industry, or looking to get films made, etc.... I also get tagged a lot on twitter by people who think I am that actress. Also, it seems that the actress herself started following me on twitter, (although it could be a fan using her name.)

Let me state that I love the name of my business, and I have no desire to sell, but if the price is right I would be willing to sell the domain name, and all of the accounts.

It is difficult for me to find a value of the domain name because the online algorithms don't take into account that a huge movie star from India might be interested. (Or maybe she couldn't care less.) Or perhaps a very rich fan of hers would want to buy it.

Where should I start my search for the possible value of the bundle (URL, Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, Pinterest.) Could anyone hazard a price range, just for my own information?

Again, I'm not particularly eager to sell, because I am still hosting my business on it. But if the price is right...

Right now she doesn't appear to have an online presence. The domain is cleanslatefilms.com.

Recommend looking at the existing names in that industry and see how your name stands in comparison to those. And answer these questions 'in reference to the industry'

- is there something unique and relevant about the name (In our opinion - word 'CleanState' can be easily substituted with other names. I mean look at LionsGate or Paramount or other names - nothing unique. That means that they just pick up a name and market it.
- how many possible alternatives are there if one were NOT to go with your name.

Welcome to the forum! Many people have been in the same situation. You love your domain but for the right price you might sell it.

My advice is this. Put the domain up for sale on a major marketplace and refer inquiries to your auction page. Set your BIN price as $xx,xxx and just sit back and wait.
