Hey everyone,

I've been lurking on NamePros for a while now and figured it was time to actually introduce myself instead of quietly watching from the sidelines.

I'm Yuri / Ghost (of the future) from the Netherlands. My background is in web (UX/UI) and graphic design (advertisements mostly), and I got pulled into the domain world the way a lot of people probably do: I went to buy a name for a project, fell down a rabbit hole trying to figure out whether it was actually any good, and never quite climbed back out. Also had a couple of very lucky moments with flipping some names for great prices that convinced me there was some good money in this domain game.

Right now I'm spending most of my time learning how experienced domainers think and how I got so lucky those times. The depth of knowledge in some of the threads here is genuinely something else!

Looking forward to getting to know people. If you've written a post or thread you wish more newcomers would read, I'd love a pointer.

Don't get upset about criticism. Just stay positive and use the feedback to sharpen your eye.
I’d suggest sticking to hand-reg domains with low investment first while you do your research—it’s the best way to learn without overextending.

I didn't even know it had a name not long ago, but that's my "strategy" indeed. Big cup of coffee and scanning expired domains for names that tickle my branding brain. It's almost addicting!
