I recently considered trying my luck with the domain name gamble, and like any other logical person I immediately bought several domains for peanuts from an auction site. I'm not exactly sure what I'm doing but I learn best by trial by fire, and I won't go broke if I lose my 100 bucks or so I've spent.

Here are my domains:

guroo.net
tmod.net
ibgroup.org
gstudio.co
focusmedia.org

I'm sure these are worth somewhere between $0 and $lots each...probably more towards the $0 side. I sent out a few dozen prospecting emails to websites I found from google searches on these keywords. I also have 2 other domains, one being my first initial/last name.com and the other being a .studio. The name is probably worth a bit to the right person so I just have it parked. My .studio is worthless but I plan on actually using that for my self-published music business.

Can anyone shed some light on how dumb my purchases were? I appreciate it!
