Previously the site, www.pcwebadvice.com, was appraised at $80-$150. Now I am a PR2 and I wanted to post the stats. This is about 1.5 months of stats, that is how long we have been up. So for the first 1.5 months these are very good numbers. Can I please get an appraisel with numbers.

Current Stats:
Page Rank: 2
Alexa Rank: 995,662
Current Users: 43
Active Users: Around 10-15 (growing)
Post Count: 2200+ (about 50-100 from incentives)
Adbrite Revenue: $30-$45

Analytics Info (June-July):
Uniques A Day: 21.88
New Users: 99.98%
U.S. Visitors: 69.32%
United Kingdom Vistors: 15.06%

Thanks,

I have made around $35-$40 on AdBrite so far. The checks start being mailed at the end of the month. I also am going to start getting paid for advertisements.

I see your collecting info on selling your site.

Ok.

When you list it you can generally expect to get 10 to 15 months worth of income. So say $400-$600. You probably want more than this though and the only way to do that is to push the value of the domain, talk about extra work you've done on the site, offer to stay on as admin for another 6 months, or other incentives for the buyer.

There are a LOT of computer forums out there, do you have something that sets yours apart?

All the other computer forums don't specialize. They are geek forums per say and, imho, look like shit.

This one focuses on all the people out there who know nothing about computer but want help. The users go dig for the solutions and help the user solve basic solutions without them paying oodles to companies. I have not seen any forums like this. Not to mention we tie in the geeks with it.

As for admin for 6 months I was thinking about that also.

When you go to sell to get the best possible price list it on NP, Sitepoint, webhostingtalk, DNF and all the others.

Let bidders know you've put a lot of work into it and it won't go cheap, but you will let it go for the right price.

How come your not running Google or yahoo ads on there as well?

Yahoo Ads I have never really figured out. I applied but never got in. As for Google they don't pay as much and way back in the day my name got barred. Although if sites are transfered I do not believe them to be barred. My name is on some voodoo list and I can't get back on...not like I really care. Adsense is over rated. I think I am just going to post it on here seeing as I am only a member of this forum and really am not going to put that much work into it for a mere $150. If the site was a couple hundred, then maybe.

List it on sitepoint and I bet you'll get at least $400 for it if you promise to stay on as admin for a while.

Really. Any chance you would like to help me sell this for a part of the cut? Also SitePoint costs $20 and I don't know if it would sell. Then I would be out of $20 and would feel quite dumb. I am new to this.

Well, I don't know much about SMF forum software, how popular it is ect. otherwise I'd buy it for $150 and try to flip it after I ran google for a while.

Are you sure you want to sell anyway? Then you'd have to pay a bunch of NP$ to change your name.

No I will leave it up. I mean Ill still be an admin for 6 months. I guess the advertising goes with it. Then I will put in a special request to R.J.

Ben if you are interested I would sell it for $150 to you. SMF is starting to get pouplar and it is very hard to get a nice looking template. That is why I personally skinned it.

Well if it was phpBB I'd buy it. ;)

I used to have PHPBB. SMF is actually the closest free forum to VBulletin I have found. I love it. I used to use PHPBB exclusively but then you have to mod it a lot and it sucks. This has so much built into it.
