Hello there,

I've got a dilemma. Was thinking to put some content on the website and try to monetise it using Adsense, considering the broad search results - keyword related. The domain is aprox. 17 years old, PR2.

As a value, I would say it worths somewhere in the range of medium-high xxx? Would you think that's fair?

How bad do you think the dash would influence the organic traffic? I know the dashes are generally avoided in domain names, however couldn't find anything specific. In case I would go for content on it, some investments would be necessary therefore here I am again, asking for your help & guidance.

Thank you

Someone might pay low $xx for it but unlikely, awkward to say and the dash hurts

Thanks for your reply!

Dash hurts in terms of domain's market price or organic traffic?

Thanks

Let me put it this way, would you ever develop a website with a dash in the domain name or it's a definitely no?

Dashed domains have to be really solid to have $xxxx value. Someone on NP owns credit-report.com, something like that or las-vegas.com or stock-chart.com will have good value albeit marginal compared to the non-dashed versions. Development is a different story because it's possible to get traffic to any domain if the content is quality enough, which is very difficult to do
