Perhaps the end user is planning a major TV campaign and wants to use the domain as an address to measure the ROI of the viewers... if that's the case, then $9K may be a relative "drop in the bucket" in their overall budget.

I've never closed a sale that high, so I'm not one to advise you. For myself, though, since I could really use $9K, I'd sell it. That seems like a pretty fair offer to me. In fact, my youngest son was looking at a used Mustang convertable last night that listed for $6,995. So, that sale would buy a used Mustang, and -still- leave you enough cash for 20 hot dates. My math isn't all that great, but the ROI percentage for that off of an investment of 25-40 bucks must be pretty fair.
