$80 header design

this design is for a new site I will be opening call njnyc.com.

Its more like a community for people in new jersey and new york to socialize, dating, find friends and so on.

Basicly I need a header similar to tampaforums.com but looks a lot more advanced than that. The only thing I liked about their header is the right part with the random pictures showing. Make sure you add that random picture showing on the right side of the header and put the pictures inside of a white frame. If you go to tampaforums.com and keep refreshing, you will get a random picture everytime u refresh. Keep refreshing until you see the ones inside a frame.. thats how I want my random pictures to show up inside a frame since it will be a lot easier for me to edit it and add pictures inside the frame easily.

I can pay for this howerver you want, just let me know but if you are doing western union, I will have to take the amount off the total that I will have to pay for the western union fee.

The end date for this contest is on the 11th of this month or until I see something that I like.

I like the colors of this site http://stairsandflowers.com so try to use that. You can use other colors if you want on it but I want the based/main colors to be the colors on that site.

where is yours dylan?

so far, flashguy design is the only header that will fit in the type of site I will be running. One thing though, I would like to see how the changing framed images ont he right works on your header.

Here is my entry. It's a bit obscure but meh tough crowd.

Edit: I have the picture on a layer mask, so you can just paste any photo into the .PSD and center it with ease (see screenshot).

Ok flashguy, I dont like the changes you made to your design.

I really loved the top border of the other header that you had than this one, because it seems like you removed it and I dont know why.

I would like for you to use the first design that you had up (I dont know what type of changes you made to this one for it to look better than the last one except for the .com font color being changed to blue which I really liked). Explain the changes or improvement u did and maybe I will understand why you made those changes

The city view on this one is darker than the other one you had up. I dont know, maybe explain what changes you made to this one for it to be improved than the other one.

I really like yours and it will more than likely be the winner

ok can u changed the .com font color for the second one to baby blue like the first one font color. Also, I am interested in knowing how the framed images on your header changes. On my description, I said I would like for the framed images to change everytime someone refresh the page or go to another section of the site and I would like for it to have at least 7 random framed pictures but you can do 2 or 3 and show me how to add the rest. But again I am interested in knowing how yours work.


sorry buyandswap, I dont think yours will fit my site. Its a little too dark and it dont look like it will fit the design I will be going to use or any theme friendly.

As far as the random images code goes, you may require a coder to install the script for you. The best way to do it is with PHP.

MD Random Images Generator
A really simple script that will get a random image out of a specified folder and display it on the page, complete with width and height attributes in the <IMG> tag. To add a random image, you just have to upload an image into the folder. It's that simple. For installation instructions, look in the file itself.

Hint for designers still in this contest:

tampaforums sliced the header into 2 pics...one with all but the area that contains the changing pic and one with the changing pic area. Then, you will just need a script that changes that one image on refresh....which you can find on any free scripts site.
