Well it probably will go back and forth or to have the auction never end just wait 70 hours and bid $1 more, then let someone bid, wait another 70 hours and bid $1 more, this could go on til 2010.

That's my point and I certainly was not saying anything negative toward you its just that this really illustrated the flaw for me, I have one where I thought cool I got an auction closing and someone bid another $2 now I need to wait another 80 hours and on top of that the person who bid is a 0 tr and new to the forum the previous high bidder I know is a quality person and no worry about getting paid, not saying the high bidder won't pay if they win but its another variable.

Its happened to me before too, 1 dollar every 70 hours, but it was wise for us to take the bidding in the XXX because only a small group of people on namepros will play there. the rest drop out in the high XX...

Ultimately as a seller I'd like the auction to reach as many potential bidders as possible, as well as give previous bidders enough time to bid higher if they so desire. I feel 72 hours after last bid is reasonable in that regard. I most likely would get annoyed as well if someone kept adding $2 each day extending the auction over a week, but setting Bid Intervals or a BIN Price could get rid of that happening. I was unsure of how much ibackgammon would go for in the current market, so that's why I didn't set a BIN or Intervals for it. Anyway good luck bidding to you all!
