I'd say they all get backordered, and for some time now. I can't really remember when was the last time I saw one drop. I'd say several weeks, maybe.

i have been finding it harder and harder to acquire any 6 number domain without 04 lately, those which are available to buy the sellers want over $400usd now

exactly.. they are held back more and more because the owners understand they would sell them off too early.. therefore mostly low quality and very random 6Ns are sold lately, even some with two 0s or 4s anywhere in the 6 digits.. hence the current dive in the 6N price floors (check the latest sold 6Ns at Chaomi.. quite subpar with some exceptions) while the great to good 6Ns are actually rising in value..

same will happen with the 7Ns and the 8Ns, 9Ns etc.., great to good ones rising nicely, average to bad ones left in the dust at a very low floor rising very slowly if not stagnating..
therefore better stay away from any average & random ones, instead move to another niche once all good & great ones are gone.. 6N and up are simply not that scarce anymore to guarantee a constantly rising price floor for ALL unlike 2-4N and maybe 5Ns.. then difficult to make nice profits while battling renewals of the big average inventory eating up the margins compared to reg fees..
