OK, lets start!

What is current floor price for 6N.coms?

Is there any minimum price for worst 6N.coms now when they all are taken?

It seems that 6N.coms with "4", but with some other good numbers like "88" are going for $100+, according to Namebio.

6N.coms buyout is probably the last of all combinations (letters or numbers, not mix) in .com.

Can we talk about $10, $20, or some other floor price for ANY 6N.com domain?

Pheenix continues to have 4s selling at $59 or $69, so I would imagine someone thinks they are worth this much at the minimum.

This auction says a lot. That seller can't find buyers at $25 each.

It's been like an hour..... and those are some pretty bad combos, but I think they'll still sell for $25 or close to it.... If these expired, I expect they'd be backordered for more than that...

Let's remember that NamePros is NOT the place to get the best price for a domain.... it's a place to scoop up bargains on the cheap...

I've sold my non-premium 6N.com(s) (with 4,0) between $23-$250.

So, I'd say the current floor price is $20 imho :xf.smile:

I have 2 on Namescon/ Namejet auction each with bids of $ 310 with 40 plus days to go.

Totally agree with this about Namepros not being the best avenue to show true sales data.

Looking at recent sales ( GD ) 6n with 4 sell for over 1xx.
Pheenix does not even have 6n .com anymore; they start from 7n meaning virtually no one is letting 6n drop...

Point well taken. Also, I think the whole conversation about 0s and 4s is non sense. You look at even 5Ns with 4 selling for big dollar amounts. If you have 4s that are repeating with another number repeating, the value is there.

True; but the reason is that 5N is 'shorter', and its inventory is only 100K DNs (1/10th of 1 Million 6Ns ;)

Yes the scarcity factor is one reason to hang on to them if you have any

Reg fee $8-$9 then sold for profit at basically reg plus one and a half times, is better return than a bank will ever offer
~
Possibly the worst names to use as a benchmark

664577.com sold for $106 at Godaddy.
773007.com sold for $110 at Godaddy.
299948.com sold for $259 at Namejet (it's a triple, but still has a 4 in it)
208988.com sold for $205 at Namejet
299884.com sold for $190 at Namejet
112260.com sold for $155 at Godaddy

Definitely seems like 0's and 4's are traded much higher than originally was suspected.

You may want to do some more research on the above DNs' characteristics e.g. pattern, sequence, repeat, placement, and '4s' pairing. While I'd not call the above prices a bargain; I can see the value!

did sell for the $25 each
Right; Those were reg'd in the final days/hours of the 6Ns buyout. Provided GD DDC reg price of about $8; the $25 is a handsome 300% ROI on a tiny investment in 1 month ;)

It is very understandable that a 300% return in a short period of time is great.

But IMO, it is not a smart move to sell so early in that game.

I understand someone doing that with derived/invented/2(3)-keyword domains because we still can register that kind of name at reg-fees all the time. But not with 6N.

Based on what we've learned in 2015 with liquid domains, the smart move is to keep them at least until floor price is $50+. It should not be too long.

Agree; the folks who jumped on the bandwagon in the final hours are neither Domainers nor Investors; they're more like Opportunists, think of it like Day Traders of the stock market.

I was wondering if the floor price will go up after Namescon?
I expect some noticeable numeric sales during it so they might attract additional interest.
Any thoughts?

All things are relative.

It's hard to argue with the 300% ROI in a matter of weeks.

If an opportunist can find the same time based ROI, then it makes sense to flip quick... and flip often.

If not, then relax and hold for a while... Work without working. Let the assets do their thing.

Looks like 6N prices have fallen. Chinese prices are around $15 for numbers with 0 and 4. As the registrations are out of 60 day lock period(for the ones hand regged in Oct end/ Nov 1st week), some people are looking to dump for $15

What do you say?

I think it will keep rising due to the prominence of numbers in Chinese culture. For instance qq emails amongst other areas. It's likely we have seen a bit of a bubble on domains with '4' and '0' but just look how fast the Chinese domain registrars are growing per month. You can check registrarowl.com/report_registrar_fastest_growing.php Chinese ones make up the top 10 big time!
