Can anyone own them and how much does it cost to register per year?

5th.ST
Why and at โ‚ฌ35 ???.
Crappie.st ,Lea.ST desirable, Mo.ST Pathetic ccTLD I have seen
and then you get a name that doesn't even utilise the .ST
31.st or Fir.ST maybe ,but 5th.ST just is plain silly
Valueless 000.00 Not even the โ‚ฌ35.

Don't mix 'th' and 'st', it just sounds odd...

โ€œ5th st.โ€ returns over 1.5 million results in Googles serps, itโ€™s also a common poker term popularized by the massive recognition of Texas holdem on television in the US in recent years. 5th st. is also referred to as โ€œthe riverโ€ card in Texas holdem. Itโ€™s a very clever use of the namespace. As for value itโ€™s a little difficult to judge and I noticed your sedo parked page has no poker association, you should try to correct that.

Sorry, BFT got his cornflakes pissed .in or something.

The name is
a) Brandable
b) Creative
c) At < $50 , a deal compared to some other ccTLD's

Hard to appraise, but turning it into a poker affiliate page and then some branding online or even TV / Radio and you have a gem.

Well in the UK, ST is an abbreviation for street, such as "Wall St."

This extension could have some potential if used right.

The more I read this reply, the more upset it makes me.

We have a new user asking for advice, and instead of educating, you have decided to try to insult. That's class.

What makes it even funnier is just how wrong you were.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Texas_holdem#Play_of_the_hand
http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Special:Search&search=fifth+street&fulltext=Search
http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=&q=5th+st (24 million results)
http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=&q="5th+st" (More than 1.5 mil for the phrase)
http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=&q="fifth+street" (2 million for "Fifth Street")
http://inventory.overture.com shows 38 searches for "5th st" , 80 for "fifth street" (And hundreds more for variations on the above)

So when a user shows up for his/her first post and you greet them with your Napoleon Complex instead of a sliver of tact, you make us all look bad.

OP, the name is great but hard to value since it is not in one of the "traditional" extensions. You could put it up for auction on eBay with a high reserve and see what happens, or just advertise it some more and see what interested parties seek you out.

Best of luck, and sorry for BFT's 'tude, yet again.

Me too, and the registration site you referrenced promots it as "street" names also. This might be a distant second place to 5th.ave (if that would become an extension!)

(Note: transfer of ownership is โ‚ฌ45 + the โ‚ฌ35 for initial registration)

Might be worth holding to see if it gets more than โ‚ฌ80 offers!

Thanks for advices. The idea of Poker affiliate page sounds good.
I think it's best to wait for a while for "st" extensions, and hope it will be worth holding it. :)

Best Regards,

I would look into aquiring www.5thSt.com if i was to build a site like this but i still like the version you have. Very cool

Yeah, most of our streets in Western Canada have names... but some big cities have numbers, they're not that rare.

Isn't this name related to 5th Ave. Not a bad one IMO. xxx -xxxx to the end-user.

You can forget about using it as a Poker Affiliate, read their Policy...

6. You are not registering the domain for unsolicited email (spam) and you are not registering the name for marketing of adult content (porn) or gambling activities. Please note that .ST Registry is not responsible for the content - nor do we actively monitor content - but that we can remove domains without warning and refund.

Good luck,

Mike
