$50 Simple Site

Hey,

Im looking for a simple site for my domain cgiproxy.co.uk it will be a site where people can find out about the cgi proxy script on a better designed webpage (hopefully) than the owners site.

I just need a one page site template which i can add in the content of the site. I would like it designed in css/xhtml as to be as fast loading as possible and also search engine friendly. If you could also make a logo for the site but all it really needs is some text e.g. CGIProxy and the slogan is HTTP/FTP Proxy in a CGI Script.

Links needed: Home, News, About, Installation, FAQ, Downloads, Links.

Colours: Nothing dark.

Images: keep to a minimum i would like a good looking site but that loads quickly.

If you could add in any other options which make it adsense optimised or search engine optimised please list them as it may help me in choosing a winner.

The $50 will be paid via paypal to the winner.

If you post progress etc etc i will comment on your designs.

I have decided i would like something very similar to rednerve.com.

Josephine yours is probably the best design so far but still not what im looking for.

I will make the design i want in html and if someone can make it into valid css / xhtml and put in a nice logo they will be the winner so hold off entries till then.

Ok i created a layout but it only looks correct in IE so i posted an SS of what it should look like.

I attached the code for this layout, it currently uses css and html forms to create it. I would like it recoded into valid css and xhtml using css divs for the layout and not html forms. I would also like it to work in firefox which it should do if you code it in css divs and valid xhtml.

Where the actual design comes in is i need the header/logo made which will fit in the top the size is 100 height x 700 width. But please dont make it fill that something simple such as text and a little logo will be fine to the left. Also the menu needs created which goes under the header. Extra brownie points if its a rollover.

And i think thats it :D

I know it might end up looking alot like rednerve.com but im going to change colours etc once its finished so it wont end up looking like that.

The design is pure CSS, no tables. There are three options for the logo:

Taking an existing website, removing the text and adding a banner does not make it yours. It is laughable obvious what some of you did when he said he likes rednerve.com. Wow.

Jaker, this was posted above. He doesn't want a new design. He wants what he designed to be coded and add a logo to it.

Right, RedNerve is my site and, to be honest, I am not happy with a user coming along and asking for an exact copy of my site, choosing an exact copy of my site and then, likely, going on to using it!

That design was completely custom-made by myself and, for that reason, is copyright to myself. sjaguar13, since you made, pretty much, an exact copy, could you please withdraw your entry from this contest.

I am very displeased about this, I never thought that the Namepros community of designers would participate in a contest where the holder was asking for a "site very similar to" (i.e. a copy) of an existing site.

I am not much of a designer, but more a coder. I came to this thread after he requested the design to be coded using valid XHTML/CSS. I didn't bother to look at any of the above entries before I started, but it is infact an exact copy. I will take down the screen shots and will not sell the code.
