50 Future Billion Dollar Companies from CBInsights An interesting look at how companies name themselves.

Some data points I gathered...

• Almost all of them have the best possible version of their .com
• Many have the best possible, dictionary word generic - Alto.com, Blend.com, Deputy.com, Faire.com, Segment.com, Sonder.com, Upgrade.com
• Some are built on the gTLD / ccTLD and have the .com - Cleartax, QuintoAndar
• More are built on the gTLD / ccTLD but lack the .com - Cargox.com.br, DailyHunt.in, Deepmap.ai, Expanse, KRY, Medbanks, Outreach.io, Standard.ai
• Some could really use an upgrade - dominodatalab.com
• 2L and 3L - Just one - Farmer's Business Network with fbn.com
• A few brandables on the list
  • Checkr - checker.com would be a major upgrade
  • Datrium
  • Earnin - earning.com would be a major upgrade
  • Embark Trucks - embark.com is gone forever. But they're a B2C company so they probably don't care.
