5 Kittens stuffed in a plastic bag and thrown into the garabge - One survives

Last night a group of us heard noise coming out of the buildings exterior garbage bin. We investigated it and found 5 newly born kittens stuffed in a plastic bag, crushed by larger bags of garbage. One of the kittens was brave enough to cry out for help. We heard it and rescued it, unfortunately the other 4 were dead. I drove down to the Humane Society downtown toronto and submitted the newly born kitten with the 4 dead kittens.

What kind of sick human would do such a thing to animals? A person that has the sick mind of killing them like this is also a person who would do the same to children or adults. Karma will catch up with this person. We live in a world that is infected by Cruel Humans!

I told the staff at the humane society, if its possible to name the cat ROCKY - he cried for help and for that reason, he is a Survivor, like ROCKY!

Oh so horrible...Glad you were able to save one. Last time when I was on my way to work. I saw children throwing kittens on the streets,as vehicles passed by. I'm not sure what happened to them by now.

Your story is more disturbing then mine. If I ever see anyone being so cruel to an animal, I will use my power to place them under arrest, under the citizens act.

I'd beat their ass then have the cops haul the POS to jail. Total trash imo.

I have the super at our building review the security camera, no help! For now, this cruel individual is hiding! Sooner or later, his choices will lead him to a dead end and he will face himself in the mirror!

hey there 24hourdomainer.I can relate to your post,I live in florida,my wife and I have taken in many cats and dogs in the past 5yrs the humane society is full,animal control will just put them down also because of no room, we nurse them back to health and have found homes for most,I have seen folks abuse there animals you call police but nothing ever happens,but like the old saying''WHAT GOES AROUND COMES AROUND'' and those kind of people will get paid back for there uncaring minds

They gave me a reference # at the humane society. Im going to call them in two weeks to check up on Rocky. See how he is doing.

5 weeks before this incident, another person in the Toronto area stuffed 10 kittens in a plastic bag and someone found them and took them to the humane society... unfortunately - i found out they all passed away....

the odd thing is, a friend of mine from europe told me, people in europe practice in this plastic and garbage method with animals they dont want... i disagreed with my friend and said - it could be anyone from anywhere in the world.. he argued it happens more in europe... not sure how accurate his statement is, either way - its a cruel method and hope anyone who practices in such manner - will face KARMA!

I found out today, a women drowned 10 kittens and got a $1 fine from the Ontario Courts! This is very disturbing news. We need to raise the punishment level for animal cruelty!

I have to say it's not something I've come across though I've only really been in the UK and Spain for any periods of time.
It's in a lot of American films though which probably indicates it's pretty common over there... just a thought.

I appreciate your feedback, as I mentioned - I find it wrong to point fingers. We have cruel humans all over the planet.

I don't follow any religion myself but I do believe that animals have just as much right to live on this Earth as we do.
I've got a charity bike ride next month to help the RSPCA (Royal Society for the Protection of Cruelty for Animals). If you really want to help out the animals and can't donate, stuff like that is a great way to do so. I'm only a student but I'm hoping to raise a decent amount I saw a report on the news today about how the RSPCA saved 70 horses from starvation and neglect on a farm. They were slowly dying and knee deep in their own faesces. They were too late to save 30 of them. It's shocking to me how anyone can be that cruel to any animals, let alone a horse.

That's definitely a horrible thing for someone to do, but I guess some people have their reasons for doing things. A few years back (well, almost a decade ago actually) my sister and I rescued 2 kittens near a bus stop. The owner actually put them there knowing that the bus stop is where people come and go.

It gives no one the right to stuff any creature of God in a bag left to die! It's an EVIL act, what ever the reason is.... its a sign of EVIL and a person who will kill children and adults!

Im glad you found them and rescued them. Anyone who wants to get rid of any animal, can call humane society and claim they found them, if they are that desperate to get rid of them!

That is horrible - hope the little guy you found makes it!

If you don't want your cat having kittens, spay or neuter them! There are low-cost clinics, there's no excuse.

Even more disturbing is the story about the kids . Studies have shown that a high percentage of serial killers AND kids involved in school shootings have had a history of animal abuse. Crossing that line in animals as a kid seems to be a strong predictor of sociopathic and/or criminal behavior in adults.

My oldest cat was found under a dumpster in an office park and rescued by a friend's son. No other cats were hanging out there and she she wasn't even weaned yet (she was maybe 4 weeks old at the time) so she certainly didn't walk there by herself! I always wonder if she had been thrown INTO the dumpster and got out, or if she had siblings who weren't as fortunate...

The truth is, I do own two cats. But both are males! Here I try to help the cats and I get accused. What is wrong with this world?

No don't feel disgusted. Take all your anger out on that guy himself. You were already angry due to that incident and this guy is accusing you falsely. So just deliver him the goods that he deserves.
