Hi guys ,

I am kind of a newbie in this domain game.

My question is : do you know if ICANN still allows the 5 day grace period for dropping a domain (domain tasting) with 100% FULL refund ?

If it is still allowed can you recommend me some registrars which offer FULL refund ?

Thanks a lot.

I would like to know as well as I have regged some names @ GD that I think I want a refund on.

Moniker allows refund - you are only charged $.25 per name. I think Whiz.in also allows a refund as well. As far as GoDaddy - they don't offer refunds normally. But doesn't hurt to call and ask.

It's 4 days most places I have looked, just so you know.

GoDaddy, it seems, offers this when you call them. I have not done this, though, so I will not say that it is absolutely correct.

Thx for the reply Peterx. It is much appreciated . However , i knew Moniker offered a domain tasting service for a 0.25$ fee per domain but i was interested if there was a registrar which offered 100% refund (no charge from their part) .

Is that so ? I recently read an article written by GoDaddy CEO , Bob Parsons , in which he condemned all forms of domain tasting and said GoDaddy does not offer any kind of refund ... am i wrong ?

Dynadot offers tasting but requests for deletion are not processed automatically yet
so you should allow 24 hours for them to process your request.

no registrar will offer a full refund as they have to pay ICANN $0.25 for the reg anyway, this is dirt cheap IMO!

IMHO 0.25$ per domain is not dirt cheap when there are 100s or 1000s of domains involved. Just think it's 25$ for 100 dropped domains. Not too good i think.

Also , are there any domainers involved in high volume tasting here ? Please tell me which services you use and what strategies are best when it comes to domain tasting.

100 dropped domains-$25
100 non-dropped domains-$800+

Get the picture?

Domain tasting is free with Dynadot, with registerfly too and probably others.

At registerfly, you get free tasting. And as a bonus, you get scammed for free!

How about that?
