Could someone explain me what is a 4D technology?

This doesnt make any sense to me especialy 4D printing, what gonna be this 4th dimmension? Smell? Time?

I know there are 4D Cinemas, hell there are even 5D cinemas, where you see 3D picture, then your chair is moving and you get splashed with water from time to time, but explain how this gonna be used technology-wise?

Thats what i meantioned, if you read this wikipedia entry you also gonna find : "There is no consistent standard for using the term "4D" when describing the presentation of a film. 4D films have also occasionally been marketed as 5D, 6D, 7D and so on in order to emphasize the variety or uniqueness of their theatre effects."
+ this thing was around for quite some time now, i remeber when i took my little sister to a 4D Movie in a theme park few years ago

obviously the next advancement from 3d technology will be 4d. There are 4d tech you tube videos for more info. It is the beginning stages of development and so there is no fixed definition or meaning, but the technology is there And no 7d technology is not something that WE will see, at this point there isnt even a 7th demension so not a chance.

I only know about the possibilities of 4D Printing, which somewhat makes sense to me. Hence I picked up some 4D Printer names a while back.

Other than that, I agree with @mls-domains ..it's all very broad and is used as more of a "brandable" term.

Agree with this.

Anything more than 4DPrint(er)(s).(Extension) is not really worth your while IMO
