$4.95 reg fees?

Looks like a place called netfirms(dot)com is charging $4.95 for .com and .net registrations.

Don't know about transfers...

Has anyone ever tried them?

I heard bad things about netfirms and I think is very hard to transfer a domain from them. They are trying attract people to buy their hosting.

I'm not sure about transfer. But you intend to use the domains yourself it's okay to reg with them.
