ALL Australian names are 2TLD's so pointless even talking about Airland.au

All your names are Ok
Worth $50-100 as is
Developed (and remember auDA requires usage) $150-$1000 each

Thanks to all for participating. Evirtual- I picked the name 357 because I like the odds and it serves up as a nice set of digits as well as irony based as we have gun laws versus America. ie- 357 revolver. I'm still looking for another source to actually appraise our portfolio on an invidual basis of each name devoted to past sales of .com or .net equivalent, keyword and geo worthy, search and frequency and score each individually. I would also like an estimated value on our entire portfolio as an entity itself for our end of business year taxes at the end of this month.

The .au market itself is pure speculation, but I'll share my belief- I am quite confident in our portfolio. I am more than confident that the newly adjusted AUDA policy will have a positive effect on the market here in Australia as well as the World.

The question would be this- is there an American owned business, city, company or corporation that would like to own a piece of the .au market place? The answer to that is certainly. If that entity had a product and/or service that would easily be marketable in Australia, such as tech gadgets, software, travel, medical goods, clothing or viturally any other good, then why not invest $50 in a new domain to develop a website with the .au extension and be geo targeted to a specific market?

I've read so many things about Aussies and Australian culture being so prehistoric. Look, I was hoping for realisation in the fact that the market in Austrlia is now open and there are going to be key players just like there are in the .co.uk, .ca, .cn and the new .asia- but until some of you all do the research and actually figure out that per capita this Country kicks butt and the Aussie dollar is on the heals of the USD and will probably pass it within the next 60 to 90 days... I'll keep trusting my instincts.

I do however thank the participants that have viewed opinions on this post very much. :D

This is a prime example of why some people ought to avoid commenting and giving opinion on stuff they do not know about.

.COM.AU is the number one extension in Australia, a country that is basically a sunnier version of the UK.

I know it is hard sometimes for people who do not travel about nor research to understand that there are millions/billions of people out there but I do wish that some name'pros' open their eyes.

Regarding the names I personally do not believe they hold much value at the moment but worth holding.

Cheers,
Rob.

I'm sure not many people use the .com.as extention as I've never heard about it or do I think it even exists.

But if you did mean .com.au & considering that most of Aust businesses use it, but you consider that it's not many, I presume that you would say not many people use .co.uk & .de as well

Exactly and Especially in the light of this recent item in euroDNS Newsletter

UK Domain Name Price Increase Attracts Phishing Scammers
According to sales figures provided by Sedo.com, the average price for a .co.uk domain has risen by 22% over the past three years, while the average price of a .com domains has fallen by 18 % over the same period of time. The average price for a .co.uk domain sold at auction via Sedo's online marketplace now averages about £2,614 while the more generic .com domains average is only £1,372... Nora Nanayakkara, director of business development at Sedo indicated that, "The world is becoming increasingly connected, and the nature of the internet is reducing face-to-face transactions. Companies run the risk of appearing detached and out of touch with their customer base if they have only a catch-all global .com domain. Consumers still like dealing with local businesses. Having regional domains such as .co.uk gives consumers greater confidence that they are dealing with a local organisation."

I believe Australian domains will be similiarly valued shortly.
Also T.R.A.F.F.I.C.DownUnder is not just a holiday junket for .com owners, there is real activity in Australian Domaining.
