3 word domains

After searching for recent sales, I've seen many very long domains that range from 3-6 words sell for insanly high prices (see below). I know that people always say keep it short & never go over 3 words, but take a look at the sales below. To me, plenty of those names suck & I wouldn't pay those prices.

I did some searching & found a couple of Dot Com names that are 3 words long, about 20 letters in length & sounds a lot better than many of those names below.

Was wondering on what you thought about 3 word Dot Com domains & if it's a good idea to target those now.

There may be some things I am not aware of but I agree - most are terrible. I see 4 word names frequently but I assumed they were reg fee buys by cheap ad departments. When one and two word names are not available then the move will be to three and four, and to other extensions, but those are a bit much.

I have sold 2 3-word domains, 1 this year. Small sales, but I take any sale! One even had a hyphen!

I think it is better to register available 3 word domains if they have OVT term searches on a consistent basis and also verify the demand for certain keywords in the aftermarket, like Jobs, Cars etc. using dnsaleprice.com

As an example i got:

Of course, that is what i feel about it. Others may have their own opinion.

I think they are coming into their own now, so it probably is a good time to be registering them. I know I've owned a few for awhile, that seemed pretty good.
