While it seems helpful, such threads just bring more attention to a name which brings in more competition as if enough didn't already exist.

I just did the screen shot.

~Notice the Expires Date (7-3-2010)

~Notice the Domain Status (PendingDelete)

THese are the things I don`t get. Why a domain that is not expired yet would be deleted?

And since I ran scans all the time this one was not even seen go on Expiry status in the last month.... :-/

Ive noticed that too(different domains), A domain whois says it expired, months ago, but is pending deletion, sounds like the registrars are keeping them on lock down illegally, if it was my domain name, it would probaly be dropped in a heart beat unless they know they could force me to pay a higher amount than reg fee to get it back.
Lets all keep track with names that are expired and have not been deleted.
The domain name
The registrar
expired date

I think if they knew that we know, they might stop their show. :music:

Ok, I have created a place to keep a running tab of this. I am sick of registrars keeping domains and getting them in an unfair way. I do not know if this is the case with this domain (I do not think it is) but I know registrars are keeping LOTS of domains.

I started off with one that I know of for sure. Be sure to provide proof, because it will only help.

Is it illegal for a registrar to grab an expiring name for themselves without sending it to auction?

I wish....I could fill a BOOK with what NETSOL is doing.

I have a list of HIGH PROFILE domains that NETSOL is doing everything possible and even the impossible with them. :yell:

Illegal, no. Unethical, yes.

But then again, you could argue that a domain registrar really doesn't have a right to auction off its customers expiring domain names.

look at NETSOL...

something like:

BEDS.net has expired, the company was from Canada but went in bankruptcy some years ago......so who gets the money? Of course NETSOL. 8-X
