I have a two letter country code .guide domain name which I plan to build out into a network of guides. Each guide will have its own separate website focusing solely on set location/topic but belong to the parent LL.GUIDE brand.
My question, should I create sub-domains for by LL.GUIDE, example "location.ll.guide" or simply build out the network as subfolders, example "ll.guide/location".
Subdomain advantages:
+ Turns ll.guide into (quasi) gTld
+ I could franchise the concept of regional guides under the new ll.guide network
+ Sub-domain websites can be hosted on other servers, custom DNS settings
Subdirectory advantages:
+ Complete focus would be on the ll.guide domain/brand
+ Shared SEO advantage
