25 people hurt in cheese-rolling competition

Chris Anderson, 18, from Brockworth, was among dozens of people who tumbled after giant cheeses at the annual competition at Cooper’s Hill in Brockworth in Gloucestershire.

Afterwards, the dazed window fitter, said: "I just ran, fell and hit my head. I feel sore but it was definitely worth it."

Organisers said 25 people were hurt in the five races, in which competitors throw themselves down a 1:2 gradiant slope in pursuit of a Double Gloucestershire cheese.
