$25 logo design contest

Hello everyone,

I have seen some great logo designs on this forum and I thought I would give it a try. I need a logo design for my surf school website. The domain is SanDiegoSurfClub.com. I'm not sure if I need the dotcom in the logo. I can't wait to see what you come up with. Contest ends on Saturday.

I am not familar with moneybookers, but I don't have a problem paying with whatever method the winner can receive it. I prefer Paypal or credit card because I already have accounts set up.

Sunkentheory, I like the concept, but not for this project. It is a bit too focused on the large circle, rather than the name.

Savesth3day, i really like your second entry with the symbol on the left. is that an original design? I mean the object / symbol?

DNtycoon, I like the font you used on your third entry. The others are a bit too picturesque for what I need. I did not give much instruction so I appreciate your efforts.

I have attached example of my intial design mock-up for the website. Because I am going with the fun photo of the kids surfing the logo itself should be downplayed but more recognizabe than just the text in the mock up. Hope this makes sense.

Thank everyone for the entries. To give a little feedback. I'm still leaning towards Savesth3day's logo design due to its clean and easy to read style. It may be a bit too technical looking for this project (I'd like to use it for something else possibly), so keep them coming.

As I have posted a jpeg mock-up of my general page design and layout, please refer to that image so that you can get a feel for what I am trying to go for. The banner will be used as the primary visual presentation for all the marketing materials including web, flyers, banners and business cards.
Try to use what I have already done with the basic text design and give me more options with that general idea in mind.
