Revolution Money Exchange is aggressively courting new members with a $25 sign-up bonus. They advertise that it takes 24 hours for the $25 to be credited to your account but it took me less than a minute to sign up and a minute later the bonus was immediately available in my account.

Revolution Money doesn't charge many fees. It's free to register, add money, send money, receive money, request money and withdraw electronically to a bank account. There are fees to withdraw money by check or to receive a paper statement.

I signed up in a minute and the $25 was deposied into my account right away.

You can go direct to www.revolutionmoneyexchange.com to register.

I just got a question, how to terminate the account? Paypal gives us the option, this one, I could not find one.

There is an option to delete the account as I have seen it. I can't recall where it was located offhand but I'd suspect it's accessible under your account info somewhere after you log in.

It looks like this is through an actual bank which would explain why the social security number is needed. Any FDIC insured bank is required to collect it to open an account.

Good point.

Could this be the PayPal alternative that we've been waiting for? It looks promising aside from the horribly long domain name. I might give it a try.

Slightly off-topic, but I've been very pleased with Google Checkout in almost every way. But two features Google is missing:

- Ability to directly send money to someone else without the seller creating a payment link (which isn't too difficult).

- Ability to carry a balance in your account. All my payments get automatically deposited in my bank account three days after receiving them.

Otherwise it's a pleasure to use compared to PayPal, and very fast and reliable for receiving payments on just about anything. I would love to see more usage of it in the domain business.

I think that this method is great. It will be way more secure. I guess we will have to see if any chargebacks are anything like that start happening with this one.
