$20 Web Hosting Logo Contest

Hi again!!

I am in need of another logo...... this time it's for a web hosting site.

The domain is www.PolarisHost.com and I would like all designs to have the following text layout:

POLARIS
Web Hosting

The "POLARIS" takes up most of the logo, and should have some kind of bright star theme to it as Polaris the brightest star in the constellation Ursa Minor . My idea was to have the star's trail begin at the base of the "P", and "shoot" diagonally upwords to the right hand side, and finish with a bright star above the letter "I". I am only looking for 1 star.

I will leave colours up to you, but bright colours wold suit the theme/name well.

Vector would be fantastic!

Time for some comments!! Thanks to all who have entered.

The competitions will run for another 25 hours from now.

guetizo - Always nice to have your entry. I prefer the star to be shooting strong, instead of a "wave" type of streak. The wave makes me think like the star is not strong and wandering around if that makes sense. I like the font, possibly a lighter blue, and of course, "Web" instead of "Heb" :P

holeinone - I would prefer the star to be just a regular 5 sided star, and emphasis on the theme of being bright for the text as well. I like the font on the 2nd one.

EmanEvan - Nice entry... I like this one the best so far. Just want to see what the streak would look like "behind" the text, and also starting closer to the base of the P.

Nata - I like the "Sparkle" on the S.... clever, I didn't think of that so nice touch. I need to use this logo and make a website so it's a little hard for me to use the yellow on the outside.

hive05 - I like your star and streak, but I'm not a fan of the changing sizes of the individual letters.



I know by being rather specific, I've limited your creativity but still thatnks very much for great designs! I see a few of you have gone with Blue + Yellow star, and to be honest I think the winning design will be that combination as it seems to make the most sense.

If you have a totally cool design that doesn't follow my criteria, you can still put it up....... you might force me to reconsider.
