Hello people , have been watching this forum for a while now pretty much every day for the past weeks .

Although i am a beginner in this field , of domain reselling . I am not new in the online business ( having made 2 online ecommerce businesses , and having made a considerable profit and a living via selling online on various marketplaces various physical products ) . So all in all , i have some experience just not for this specific money making online method .

Anyways , anyhow i really want to focus on this industry and here is my portfolio till now .

I have bought around 8 of them , but i will put only the 4 best ( at least what i consider best from what i bought) which i have bought for prices varying between xx $ to xxx $ .

24pkr.com
4mydate.com
itsauctiontime.com
solutionstrading.com

I am not putting the bad ones for obvious reasons ( because i understand now that they are almost worthless ) .

Any feedback would be much appreciated .

Cheers

I'm sure he would let you broker it for him. You should ask.

LOL.

Hyphenated domains, even quality ones, are a hard sell. Trust me.

Not hard I should say but fetches less price(even if quality one).

Hotel-Reservations.com sold for $209,916.

German endusers love hyphens. They hold plenty of value but it's a waiting game. Then again, domaining in general is a waiting game.

I like apartments-usa.com. It surely has great value. You can easily get 3 figures for that, if not more. :)

Max you seem to know what you are talking about . If you are interested in maybe a business collaboration or whatever please pm me . If you would like to try to sell it for a percentage cut , that would be also fine with me.

Regards ,

Liking apartments-usa.com makes it obvious that he has absolutely no idea what he's talking about.

Please do let me know your total turnover and profit from domain purchasing ....

It might not be a domain like buy.com , or claim.com etc. But it definetely has some value and if you dont see it then oh well , that is subjective

A wise person once said, "No flex, zone. They know better."

When someone who is knowledgeable, or authoritative, in a field gives you advice you shouldn't drown them in your own opinions to the point of ad nauseum.

When I first started out I personally emailed one of the top domainers in the world, and asked him to look at my portfolio of 10 names I just purchased (which was poor at the time).

He gave me his perspective and pointers... and just like any dumb human at the time I thought to myself, "what does this guy know."

It's a proven fact; the hardest thing for people to do is to accept the views and expertise of other people. This is especially true in domaining, because success directly points back to your decisions.

So I thanked the expert and stopped to think to myself, "what DOES this guy know." He obviously knew a lot, or else I would not have asked him for his input... so with a grain of salt I swallowed my pride and started buying and selling the way he recommended.

He was 100% and his advice has led me to much success.

I too am a web developer and entrepreneur that has a knack for naming things, even on that list of the first 10 names I ever bought I sold one for $1,500 within months of registration.

My advice to you, listen to what people have to say and build on it.

When I asked an expert he didn't give me a step by step, but he did point me in the right direction. Several people here have taken the time to respond to your post and point you in the right direction.

You say thank you and then you move along.

Cheers!

My numbers are my business.

If you think Apartments-USA.com is worth $x,xxx then PM me. I have a much better hyphenated name with 110k exacts that I'll gladly sell you for 10k. Max would probably say he could easily sell it for 100k. That's some great ROI.

I'm not patronizing you, and I object to you accusing me of patronizing you. I think there is a reason that the majority opinion say that your domains are not very good, that is the collective opinion from decades of experience that they are not very good. There is a reason that you are the only person which likes these domains. You bought them. But don't come here lecturing us that you have great names. You don't.

this_username_was_banned > I think it has some value and given the price i bought it , then i could have a good ROI . How much it could fetch , is highly subjective ... if you see some of the lists of domains sold i am sure that each and everyone from us has seen many that dont make sense , yet people have been paid for them ... ( or the opposite many that people were expecting to get sold for much but got sold for pennies ) .

DOMAINVIP , to those people that have given honest opinions i have accepted them and in fact learned much from it , and i thank them . But it puts me on the defense when i see generic comments or comments of the stop buying domains type .

I kinda like themicrohouse

Micro homes are trending. People figured out to sell land with a quickly tossed 'micro house' on it, instead of bare land.

What happens here is buy 10 or what ever names for $120 and the only keeper ends up being a $120 hand reg. It's not an uncommon way of doing things. The killer is when you fall in luv with them and renew them all. Goodluck

LOL, most domainers are in fact losing money. It's more a hobby than a business. Few domainers have the kind of turnover that justifies retaining the services of a CPA.
Now, that doesn't mean they are not giving you good advice, because they have first-hand experience and know how difficult selling domain names is...

When you are a newcomer and see the reported domain sales, it's easy to think there is money to be made (easily !) and that it's a rewarding trade. In fact, we are taking about a minuscule, non-representative sampling of domain names. 99% of registered domains are worthless will never sell.

I think you still have high expectations. You can have high expectations when you own exceptional domains. Then people will be lining up at your front door and make unsolicited offers for your domains. Again, few of us are in a situation like that.

I have seen many things , but seeing a person saying > welcome to my ignore list < while he is the one initiating a discussion and further escalating it ... that was new to me .

I promise i will manage to sleep though , have no worries

I agree , however how do you know what my expectations are ?

You need to understand that the same questions are asked over and over and over again every day (least it seems like it) by someone new. Which is fine, but the people answering them get a little restless when they don't take the advice of let's say Stub, who's been here for ~8 years.

Nevermind, just saw your last post. You got some attitude lol.
