I am surprised you think bad of 000domains.com (beside the price)?
They are really good - also ICANN-accreditted.
True the site is very basic but REALLY tons and tons of people use 000domains for sure.

I would take them over 1and1 anyday. They got issues and really bad negative feedback everywhere.
