I still decided to go ahead and list my domain 15G.ORG on GoDaddy Auctions and the bid is upto $x,xxx!

just go to the godaddy auctions page. I can't post links yet, so google it.
Look up 15g and it's the first result that pops up.

I'm not here to gloat, i just want to know from an expert why the value is what it is for this domain. Thanks in advance!!!

The value is whatever a buyer is willing to pay and the best appraisal you can get is an actual enduser sale. Congrats

Thank you lothos! I guess I just got completely lucky. I know there are more downs than ups when flipping domain names, so i'll enjoy this 'up". Seeing as how i'm just doing this for fun... THAT WAS FUN.

I've seen stranger domain names go up for auction on GoDaddy. I feel like mine is one of the normal ones compared to ones that go for $xx,xxx+

I'm a bit surprised, and don't know the reason of those bids, so maybe they saw something special in that domain, or thought it's a nnl .org and have to have value higher than the bids. The funny if was the last case is that there are available nnl.org domains. Or maybe what stu walk said in his/her comment...

First off, congratz on the sale when it completes...

Second, dont let this go to your head. Know that if the sale completes you got VERY lucky.

Think of it like a person first learning to play poker... on their very first hand they draw to an inside straight... and hit it, win the pot.
Absolute worst thing that could happen because now they think.... nothing to this game, and will be drawing dead from then on. Get it?

I was watching the auction, but now all trace of 15g.org has disappeared from godaddy auctions, what happened?

Someone's been messing a lot with 15g.org it seems; has a lot of drops since it was first regged in '02, was even dropped 3 times this year already. And earlier this year the nameservers said:

Added ns2.suspended-for.spam-and-abuse.com
Added ns1.suspended-for.spam-and-abuse.com

Domain was regged again 1 week ago; listed on Godaddy auctions shortly after; bids up over x,xxx right away; then all sign of the auction removed from GD;

More messing around. Maybe shill bidding. Not saying it's OP, but looks like someone's messing with this domain for some reason.
