You've probably had this domain on multiple platforms, displaying to end users who had a different need or niche in mind.

This name will go for $2,500,000+ if you strategically develop it(Simple website, showcasing the potential use) and target the right people.

There are many Hedgefund, IB, PE decision makers on LinkedIn that are just waiting for a premium account to send them an inmail.

The following is a good way to find out whether the plural or singular is better...
Simply type the word into Google...

If you type "Yields"... the word "Yield" is displayed everywhere....

If you type "Chair", you'll see a lot more of the plural word.... Hence Chairs.com is better than Chair.com.

I like both words a lot. IMO the plural on yield making it yields is not playing second fiddle to yield, not in this sector. IMHO of course.

From a branding standpoint, naming your company Yield is ten times better than naming it Yields.

No sane reseller would even pay $25k for it..let alone $175k.

If someone offered me $200K for Yields.com, I would accept it in an instant. Even for good one-word dictionary .coms, a $200K offer doesn't come often and Yields.com IMO is an average name. Also, consider ROI. Being a knowledgeable domain investor, I am sure you would not have paid more than high four figures/low five figures USD for this name. If you price an average name too high, no one's gonna buy it. Don't be too greedy and don't fall in love with the name. Using 200K, you could buy 2 - 3 great one-word .coms.

The domain has actually went up in value since my last post. Yields Is Now Worth about $525,000 now in my opinion just over half of what purple.com(900K sale) sold for since it has an "s" at the end thus is plural. Note, that is end-user. In This New Market A reseller would pay no more than $225,000 for this domain in my view.
That is a nice increase from March 18, 2018 when I made the last appraisal. I predict within 1 year from now it will have a reseller value of $600,000 and end-user value of $750,000. As, less and less domains like it for sale anywhere this domain is super great. Domains such as these resellers are getting closer and close to willing to pay end-user prices in 1 year from now that will truly be the case.
