Like a former father? Do you think these things through or just register?

Probably worth $xxx or $xxxx to an end user. I have the same one as yours although a bit shorter. Mine is exdad.com and previously received a mid $xxx offer for this but was looking for a bit more.

You should've just negotiated it up to 750 or 1000 and sold. This and the OP's name could sit for years unsold.

Every time there's an inbound offer for any of my names I always make a higher counter offer. And in the course of negotiation, a few were successful but in most cases, buyers walked away presumably seeking better/cheaper options. Majority of these offers came from Sedo and so I often have the assumption that they could be end users. I have to admit that mistakes do happen and regret comes afterwards. There's truth in your statement, no doubt about that. For all those errors done, there's always room for a better approach and a better strategy to deal on each and every occasion so that one comes out in the winning end.

Lately for the names I don’t really care about and that I know may not get bites again for a long time I’m taking their mid 3 figure offer and then, after some preliminary chit chat :xf.wink: quoting the correct appraised price with comparables of low to mid four figures. Then after they start crying I agree to split the difference right down the middle and generally close the deal.

True I’m not getting full value but I’m also in these instances generally talking about buyers who are intending local businesses and who aren’t ever going to get rich off the domain anyway.

I’m pretty much not interested in selling any name of mine for under a thousand but once they are paying at least that one thousand or a couple thousand - given again - that these are hard to move names that I’m talking about, I’m being a little more flexible lately and just taking it.
